Coordination of efforts to multiply the impacts of actions, measures and projects undertaken to increase public awareness of topics such as animal welfare and environmental protection is the aim of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation and non-governmental organizations Vier Pfoten Kosova and the Foundation for Animal Rights.
Through this Memorandum, it is intended to help school and extracurricular educational activities, so that the new generations are much more aware of the environment, wild animals, companion animals and stray dogs.
The signatory parties of the Memorandum have committed to cooperate in providing educational and training sessions on the topics of animal welfare and environmental education in schools, as well as outside school facilities.
Among other things, the Memorandum aims to identify potential long-term solutions to improve education regarding animal welfare, environmental protection, and avoiding the potential danger to children and citizens from stray animals.
