THE NEW “EDMOND HOXHA” SCHOOL FACILITY WAS INAUGURATED IN JUNIK

The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, the mayor of the Municipality of Junik, Ruzhdi Shehu and the director of the “Edmond Hoxha” Lower Secondary School in Junik, Bekim Gaxherri, in the presence of MESTI officials, municipal officials, family members of the nation’s hero, whose name the school bears, teachers, parents and many students, today inaugurated the new facility of this school, which is an investment of the Ministry of Education.

On this occasion, Minister Nagavci said that she feels honored that in the company of colleagues from the Ministry of Education, she is inaugurating the new school building in Junik, which bears the name of the nation’s hero, the extraordinary and special person, Edmon Hoxha.

Minister Nagavci announced that this project, financed by the Ministry of Education, which cost about 1.5 million euros, will provide suitable and modern facilities for the development of the learning process, for 492 school students, teachers and other staff.

Nagavci said that, as the Minister of Education, has pledged to create better conditions for every student in the Republic of Kosova, including physical infrastructure, inventory, materials for the concretization of learning and other necessary tools, for the development of a more productive learning day.

Meanwhile, the mayor of the Municipality of Junik, Ruzhdi Shehu said that, with the inauguration of the new school, the urgent needs are being met to create better conditions for learning. Shehu thanked MESTI for the continuous support in the regulation of the school infrastructure, which reflects in the improvement of the quality in education.

Otherwise, the new school facility consists of 25 classrooms, which include 3 pre-primary classrooms, the principal’s hall and the teachers’ hall, IT and Biology cabinets, three laboratories, heating and other accompanying spaces with an area of 5700 m2.
