The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, participated in the ceremony marking the 11th anniversary of the establishment of “Haxhi Zeka” University in Peja. On this occasion, Minister Nagavci emphasized that this day should be a motivation to continue working, to ensure a quality education and to produce generations full of values, who walk in the same steps as their peers around the world.
She said that in order to achieve a quality education we must work together every day, while emphasizing that quality improvement and reform in higher education is at the center of the Government’s attention and one of the 5 objectives of the Strategic Education Plan for period 2022-2026.
After mentioning a series of actions that have been taken in this direction, Minister Nagavci said that higher education is a promoter of social and economic development, therefore MAShTI is committed to providing assistance and mechanisms to ensure that the higher education system in Kosovo rise to the highest quality and be comparable to those of European countries.
Minister Nagavci wished that “Haxhi Zeka” University, as a new university, but with great potential, will be used by everyone to further develop the institution.
In this ceremony, the title “Honoris Causa” was awarded to academician Muhamedin Kullashi, for which Minister Nagavci said that this title is a sign of respect and gratitude for the personality who has made changes in our society.
