Minister Bytyqi reported before the Parliamentary Education Commission

Minister of Education, Science and Technology Shyqiri Bytyqi participated in the meeting of the Parliamentary Education Committee, which reviewed the Draft Law on Ratification of the International Agreement between MEST and Stitching SPARK of the Netherlands (SPARK) on the College’s support Business International in Mitrovica.

At this meeting, Minister Bytyqi also reported on the situation in Higher Education, with particular emphasis on the initiative for assessing the sustainability of public universities, as well as the enrolment of students in Private Higher Education Institutions.

Minister Bytyqi clarified the need and reasonability for ratifying the agreement for supporting the International Business College in Mitrovica as an institution with special profiles, but stressed that opportunities will also be considered for supporting other private colleges for certain profiles or programs.

Meanwhile, regarding the developments in Higher Education, Minister Bytyqi said that a professional commission has already been set up, which will make a detailed assessment of quality in public universities and after reports will be evaluated how stable those institutions are in the quality aspect required, whereby organizational, administrative and program-related changes can be expected, which can be initiated after joint discussions at all levels.
