Minister Bytyqi hosted in the meeting the OSCE Ambasador to Kosova

Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Shyqiri Bytyqi hosted in the meeting the OSCE Ambassador to Kosova, Yan Brathu.

In this meeting was discussed on the close cooperation in the education field, priority fields of the educational policies of MEST and of OSCE and the expansion need of further cooperation in this sector. 

Minister Butuqi thanked the Ambassador Brathu for constant support of OSCE in building of a new and modern system of education in Kosova, first of all added that MEST even further will be opened and ready for cooperation. While stressing that will be committed to raising education among the Government’s top priorities.

We need further support from international partners in order to improve quality and inclusion in education, at the same time we will also consider avoiding the deficiencies identified by the OSCE during these years, said among others Minister Bytyqi.

While Ambassador Brathu emphasized that the OSCE will continue further support of the education development in Kosova with emphasis on community education and other issues,  based on best European practices and legislation in Kosova.  He also congratulated Minister Bytyqi to have success in the new assignment and in its intentions to make education among the top priorities of the Government of Kosova, for what he said would be good for the country’s long-term future.

Minister Bytyqi and Ambassador Brathu also talked about textbooks in Bosnian and Turkish, accreditation of study programs in these languages and other issues of interest.
