MINISTER ARBËRIE NAGAVCI IS STAYING IN ISRAEL FOR A VISIT

The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, is conducting a visit to Israel, with the aim of intensifying cooperation in education, with special emphasis on the opportunities for cooperation in higher education, safety in schools, digitalism and exchange opportunities of pupils and students, in terms of culture and education.

On this occasion, Minister Nagavci was hosted by the Minister of Education in Israel, Yifat Shasha-Biton, with whom they discussed the cooperation between the two countries and the exchange of experiences of special interest in the field of education.

Cooperation between universities from Kosovo and Israel has been the main focus of the conversation between the two ministers, who have agreed that this idea should go to the level of concrete actions.

Minister Nagavci said that we are interested in opening a chapter of cooperation in the field of education between the two countries as she added that we have a lot to offer, but also to learn from Israel’s education system.

She has requested support from the Israeli government also regarding the issue of security in schools, including the protection of school data, the safety of children on the Internet, as well as the sending of experts who will help schools in Kosovo, in terms of increasing security in the use of the Internet.

Reminding the experience of hosting students from Israel for a visit to Kosovo, Nagavci said that the possibilities of sending students from Kosovo to Israel will be looked at, with the aim of mutual benefit in terms of culture and education.

On this occasion, Minister Nagavci informed the minister, Yifat Shasha-Biton, that there are currently 4 students studying in secondary schools – Givat Haviva and EMIS (Eastern Mediterranean International School) and that we are interested in having a greater presence of our students who study in Israel.

She said that our permanent diplomatic presence in Jerusalem will represent not only the interest of intensifying bilateral cooperation in all fields, but also a moral dimension of the emotional connection that we have from the past..

Meanwhile, the Minister of Education in Israel, Yifat Shasha-Biton, has said that she welcomes the opening of the way of cooperation with the Ministry of Education in Kosovo, with the belief that there will be concrete actions in this direction.
