The Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Shyqiri Bytyqi held the first constitutive meeting of the State Quality Council, where in the presence of 5 local members of this council and in direct communication (online) with 3 international members, by majority of votes, Gazmend Luboteni was elected head of the SQC.
Minister Bytyqi, on this occasion, congratulated the members of the SQC on the new task, for which he said was a very important engagement as well as with work and high responsibility towards the interests of the education community and citizens of Kosova.
Minister Bytyqi directed the constitutive meeting based on the SQC regulation, the Law on Higher Education and the Administrative Instruction, according to which the Minister of Education is to participate in the first constitutive meeting until the President of the Council is elected.
Minister Bytyqi emphasized that the meeting will continue with other points of agenda, where will be elected the deputy chairman and will determine the 3 or 5 year mandate of local members through the lot, while international members will have a five year mandate.
The SQC members in the presence of the Minister read the oath statement, with which they pledged to complete with dedication and responsibility the task entrusted to them, while throughout the entire meeting the communication with the SQC international members was direct.
At this meeting, due to travel abroad was not present the member Arta Jakupi, for which were also notified the international members who expressed the consent that the SQC can be constituted in a member’s reasonable absence.
