The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, participated in the awarding ceremony of diplomas for the 4th generation of 5th level qualification students, “Assistant for children/students with special educational needs”.
On this occasion, Minister Nagavci emphasized that, being aware of the new challenges all over the world, of the phenomena with a very large impact on the educational, economic, social and political developments, MESTI is persistent in the development of policies for reforming the education system and professional training.
In the wake of this commitment, the minister added that MESTI has supported the development of the 5th level qualification for assistant of children/students with special educational needs, so that all students have equal and inclusive treatment.
Nagavci spoke about the commitment of the Government of Kosova in improving services for students with special needs, through the employment of 300 assistants for these students and the budget planning by the Government of Kosova for the employment of another 200 assistants.
Otherwise, the implementation of the V-level qualification has been monitored by a monitoring group consisting of representatives of the KSV/020 Project, MESTI, the Competence Center in Ferizaj and the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (AVETAE).
While the qualification for the fifth generation is being offered in seven institutions with 180 registered students, in Prishtina, Prizren, Mitrovica and Ferizaj.
