Minister Bytyqi hosted an IMF delegation

Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Shyqiri Bytyqi hosted today a delegation of the International Monetary Fund, chaired by Stephanie Eble, IMF mission chief for Kosova, with whom he talked about the priority of the Kosova Government in the field of education.

Minister Bytyqi after talking about the overall state in education and the steps that are planned to be undertaken to improve the quality, has assessed the assistance that the International Monetary Fund has given to the education sector in Kosova.

“We have set our priorities in the four-year governance in order to change the situation in education. Our priorities are divided into two parts: the first concerns the improvement of quality in pre-university education and the second with higher education”, said Minister Bytyqi.


Minister Bytyqi also spoke about the application of day-to-day learning, teacher profiling, low school students’ orientation based on the results achieved during schooling, the harmonization of higher education with the needs of the labor market and steps others, which are planned to be undertaken during this governance.


Meanwhile, chief of IMF mission for Kosova, Stephanie Eble thanked Minister Bytyqi for the hospitality, where was discussed the achievements so far in the education sector and the assistance that the IMF can offer in improving future education policies, in order to achieve results in the quality improvement.
