Minister Bajrami took part at the conference “Qualitative education for all”

Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Arsim Bajrami has taken part at the conference “Qualitative education for all”, which is organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and Kosova Pedagogical Institute, supported by UNICEF and in coordination with Twinning Project. 

At this conference is discussed for the quality assurance system of school performance and exchange of practices regarding with evaluation of school performance, piloted in 20 schools. 

Minister Bajrami, on this occasion, has stressed relevance of this conference in building of a general consensus of all partners in joint efforts for improvement of the educational system in Kosova. 

“We are all determined to build a qualitative educational system for the Republic of Kosova, in order to provide a general wellbeing. We should work to approach our students with a lot of care, to provide a positive education and to avoid every tendency for politicization, in order to create a youth, which will deal less with politics and more will be educated in the positive spirit”, has stressed Minister Bajrami. 

Minister Bajrami has spoken also for compilation of strategic documents, which are compiled by the Pedagogical Institute, for which said that they are a good base to start with the evaluation of the school system performance as a whole, in three dimensions: in aspect of school management, internal evaluation, which is done by Municipal Education Directorates in cooperation with schools and external evaluation, that is in responsibility of the Ministry of Education mechanisms.

“This conference is of special importance and after that will adopt these strategic documents and than those will be placed in the state evaluation system of performance, that include school as whole, the teaching methodology and every teacher”, said Minister Bajrami

The Minister has spoken also for adoption of the National Strategy on Quality Increase, amendment of Law for Inspectorate, strengthening the role of school principals, review of school textbooks and setting standards, that each text must contain, and also the school digitalization process.

While, Laila Omar Gad, Director of UNICEF in Kosova said that long-term sustainability of children education demands an overall and strong system of education and functional institutions at all levels. 

Otherwise, at this conference was made public also the compilation of the system framework of the school performance quality, and other accompanying documents, which help internal evaluation and external evaluation of school. These, together represent a comprehensive system, which will contribute to the improvement of services and education results and it is a way to increase chances and equal opportunities for all.
