Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Arsim Bajrami hosted in the meeting a delegation from James Madison University, headed by the Rector, Mr. Jonathan R. Alger.
On this occasion, Minister Bajrami spoke about the importance of higher education in the country’s economic development and the main challenges in its development, with particular emphasis on raising the quality, strategic orientation of higher education towards the needs of the labour market and the way of funding public universities.
Minister Bajrami also spoke about the importance of cooperation with American universities through various programs, which enable the transfer of good experiences from prestigious universities.
Whereas, Rector of James Madison University, Jonathan R. Alger said that the partnership between Kosova and the University “James Madison” will be deepened even further in the future, whereby Kosovar students will be offered opportunities for studies at this university and other American universities.
