Minister Bajrami and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria visited the Agricultural School in Prishtina

Minister of Education, Science and Technology – Mr. Arsim Bajrami, Minister of Foreign Affairs – Mr. Sebastian Kurc and Ambassador of Austria in Kosova – Mr. Gernot Pfandler visited the Secondary Agricultural School “Abdyl Frashëri”, in Prishtina, where discussed with students about the directions perspective which are offered in this school and their ambitions, for development of agricultural branches in the future. 

The Austrian Minister Sebastian Kurc, the visit in the Secondary Agricultural School has implemented within the visit that he is doing today in Kosova.  
 
Minister Bajrami thanked the Austrian Government on the assistance that has continuously given for the education sector, especially in vocational education, while stressed that orientation of the Government of Kosova in this education segment is dual system of education, which provides competent people that can contribute in the country’s development. 

Minister Bajrami has repeated that within engagements that are being done in improvement of quality in education, reformation of vocational education is priority. 

Minister Bajrami said that young people now must be oriented towards the occupational skills, because this is the opportunity to be involved in the rapid labour market.

“We will work so that young person’s to be more oriented towards vocational schools, so that beside qualitative education to provide also employment. In this school is developed also the practical learning and as Ministry we are working to provide practical part of learning in our companies”, stressed Minister Bajrami. 

While, Minister Kurc is pledged that government of Austria will help Kosova in reformation of the vocational education sector and harmonization with labour market needs, as precondition for country’s economic development.  

Minister Kurc as well said that Austria will support Kosova in benefiting funds of the European Union for further education development.
