Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Arbër Geci attended today the Conference organized by the Council of Europe on the topic “Strengthening Integrity and Fight Against Corruption in Higher Education”, with particular emphasis on the Plagiarism issue.

Deputy Minister Geci expressed the willingness and dedication of Minister Bytyqi and the Ministry of Education to be engaged in the creation and strengthening of mechanisms that will prevent corruption in Higher Education, emphasizing that Strengthening Academic Integrity is a rather complex issue and requires constant attention throughout the academic upgrading process.

“Surely, Academic Integrity in Higher Education remains a sensitive issue that is directly related to the general culture of personality formation and is certainly a matter of academic and professional responsibility and responsibility of all ALK staff, “said Geci.

Deputy Minister of Education stressed that the plagiarism issue by academic staff should be tackled by special mechanisms and that no one should avoid a process of verifying the academic upgrading of academic staff in Higher Education.

“We can not allow the future of our children to remain in the hands of people with dubious academic increase, so a verification would eventually divide the academic staff with integrity, from those who damage the quality of Higher Education in the country every day, Deputy Minister Geci added.
