The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, announced at the press conference that based on the Administrative Instruction for the 2023/2024 school year calendar, it is predicted that the new school year will start on September 1, while concrete details regarding the supply of school textbooks to pupils will be made public in the following days.
Minister Nagavci also announced that dual education in this school year will be expanded with 8 new profiles, making the dual system applicable in a total of 12 profiles, in 21 professional schools, in 14 different municipalities of Kosova.
Whereas, regarding the creation of the necessary infrastructure for persons with special needs, Minister Nagavci said that, for the first time in Kosovo, will be done the equipment of supplies for the creation of vocal synthesis in the Albanian language, which will improve the quality of education and overcome the barriers faced by blind people in Kosova.
Minister Nagavci also spoke about the allocation of funds for school textbooks for pupils of Presheva, Medvegja and Bujanoci, the approval of the National Science Program 2023-2028 by the Government, the fulfillment of the commitment for the construction of new nurseries, respectively the construction of the nursery in Fushë Kosova, in Batllava of Podujeva and in Shtime, as well as the improvement of the legal infrastructure which will affect the improvement of the quality in education.
