On the eve of the International Day of Girls and Women in Science, the Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci and the rector of the University of Pristina, Qerim Qerimi with associates, hosted a group of girls who received the STEM scholarship, which was awarded for the second time this year past and its main goal is to support girls studying in these fields.
On this occasion, Minister Nagavci emphasized that the Government of Kosova is determined to continue to financially support all students, but said that the focus is on girls, especially those who study in these fields.
The Minister instructed the girls to influence their communities and become a good example for the empowerment of girls and women, which will affect the development of society in general and our country.
Through the girls who were present at the meeting, Minister Nagavci conveyed the message to all the girls in Kosova, that they can always count on the cooperation of the Ministry of Education for ideas and activities that they think are useful to implement.
Meanwhile, the rector of the UP, Qerim Qerimi emphasized that the University is considering opportunities for new support programs for students, i.e. also for girls, while he said that girls who study in STEM fields offer development opportunities for the future.
