Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Arsim Bajrami met Coordinators for Quality Assurance in Schools of municipality of Prishtina, Podujeva, Lipjan and Drenas, who these days are keeping training on this issue.
On this occasion, Minister Bajrami has offered full support to coordinators on their work, simultaneously he demanded to be engaged and be responsible in fulfilling their mission, as a very important mechanism for quality assurance in schools and he wished that coordinators for quality assurance to be best teachers that school has, career teachers, that love education, who will be strong partners of municipality, ministry, of parents and society in order to improve quality.
Minister Bajrami talking about the outcome of the PISA assessment 2015, said that we have very good students, intelligent and that they can do more, but you honoured coordinators should be more demanding toward the school principals, directors of municipal departments, toward inspectors of MEST and other factors, in order to build a functional construction system of quality
In this context, Minister Bajrami said that last year was approved the strategy for Quality Assurance in Pre-University Education 2016/20, but said it does not remain only on paper, therefore “I invite you to be uncompromising in ensuring quality in relation to colleagues and directors there where you work”, said Minister Bajrami.
In addition, Minister Bajrami asked the coordinators to encourage teachers to improve their performance, become more engaged and qualitative in teaching, while MEST will assess your work and we will find the stimulating forms for your work and distinguished teachers. We will demand that municipal directors of education, to be more cooperative with you and other interested factors for quality education.
“The creation of a qualitative education is family interest, social interest of the state, and that all will work that this situation after PISA assessment, to be a national awareness and not a defeatism”, said at the end Minister Bajrami.
