Prime Minister Mustafa and Minister Bajrami visited the Rector of UP

Prime Minister of Republic of Kosova, Mr. Isa Mustafa and Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Arsim Bajrami visited the Rector of University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, Mr. Marjan Dema, upon the occasion of taking the duty of the Rector of the university.

Prime Minister Mustafa and Minister Bajrami, offered full support to Rector Dema, in preservation of institutional autonomy, realization of academic goals and continuous development of UP, in full compliance with European quality standards. 

Minister Bajrami in this case, expressed his conviction that the new management of UP with constructive approach of the Rector will enter in a process of creating order and academic dialog. 

A time of academic responsibility, responsibility of all professors and students is beginning, to work in quality increase, improvement of performance of University of Prishtina, in order to create a modern university which will be fully be connected to the labour market”, was expressed Minister Bajrami.  

Minister Bajrami stressed that UP will have continuous support of the Ministry of Education in building the appropriate legislation, while fully respecting academic autonomy, as the value of democratic society.

“I am certain that approach offered by Professor Marjan Dema, approach of academic dialog and solution of problems in democratic manner is the proper approach.  We are pleased that this approach is being accepted from professors and students. UP will play a leading role in the sphere of higher education and will be impeller to other universities, in building of an advanced system of higher education”, said Minister Bajrami. 

Minister Bajrami, said that MEST will continue creation of stable capacities of UP and permanent quality increase, while promised that in cooperation with Kosovar Accreditation Agency will be worked that programs which are offered in this university to create cadres which will have perspective in the labour market.
