Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Arsim Bajrami is staying on an official visit to Montenegro, where today has had important meetings with leaders of highest institutions of education and science, with who has discussed the possibilities of cooperation.
Minister Bajrami was hosted by the minister of Education of Montenegro, Mr. Predgrag Boskovic, by which it was agreed to participate at all education levels. “With minister Boskovic, we agreed on cooperation in the exchange of academic university experiences at the best of quality increase, and also in the aspect of regional and European integrations”.
We, stressed minister Bajrami, fully we agreed to help Albanian education at all levels in Montenegro to create a quality in Albanian schools, by providing trained teachers, but also better learning conditions. “We will support the Albanian schools here with all the opportunities we have in a transnational cooperation platform”.
Also, the education ministers of the two countries have discussed the needs of Albanian education in Montenegro and the possibility to accept more students at the University of Prishtina for the preparation of teachers for teaching in the Albanian language. Also, they have discussed on procedures to facilitate mutual recognition of diplomas.
Minister Bajrami thanked his Montenegrin counterpart for readiness to enable the Republic of Kosova to help with texts Albanian education in Montenegro. “The Government of Kosova does not want to develop cooperation with patriotic platform, but realistic platforms. The community interests, teaching interest in Albanian language are vital here and we have achieved full consensus to cooperate with a positive will”, said minister Bajrami
Minister Bajrami is hosted also by the minister of Science of Montenegro, Mrs. Sanja Vllahovic, with who has discussed for interstate cooperation opportunities for joint scientific projects, but also for European projects such as Erasmus+, horizon 2020, where two states can compete for funds and joint studies in different areas.
Both ministers have discussed for academic exchanges of the professors of both countries and are agreed that soon this cooperation be concretized with a Cooperation Agreement between Kosova and Montenegro. “There is an exceptionally good will between the two countries to move forward in our European path with exceptionally good and friendly reports, where education and science are fields where can score good results”, said the minister.
Minister Bajrami during the day met with Parliamentary Commission for Education of Montenegro, chaired by Mrs. Branka Tanasijeviç.
During the following day, Minister Bajrami will also meet with leaders of the Municipality of Ulcinj, National Council of Albanians in Montenegro and representatives of the Albanian political parties to talk about the needs of the education sector.
