Minister Bytyqi hosted in the meeting the new ambassador of Germany in Kosova

Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Shyqiri Bytyqi hosted in the meeting the new ambassador of Germany in Kosova, Christian Heldt, with whom he talked about education issues in Kosovo and the support that Germany has given to our country both financially and consultively, at the same time was also discussed about the possibilities and models of further cooperation.

Minister Bytyqi congratulated the new German ambassador for his new assignment in Kosova, emphasizing that Kosova still needs the support of strong international partners such as Germany in order to meet the priorities, which the government has put in the new mandate, having in mind the quality increase. In this context, Minister Bytyqi highly appreciated the GIZ contribution to the development of education in Kosova.

Minister Bytyqi also emphasized that we have already made an overview at the current state of education and are committed to look at what models can be applied to improve the situation.

In the following, Minister Bytyqi said that we are placed among the top priorities the vocational education and training, in which case emphasized and will be considered the possibility of cooperation with the business community, in order to understand which professional staff Kosova needs more in the labor market

Ambassador Heldt and Minister Bytyqi also discussed the exemplary character of the Loyola Gymnasium in Prizren and the contribution of this gymnasium in preuniversity and vocational education in Kosova.

While Ambassador Christian Heldt stressed that the German Government is ready to continue supporting education in Kosova, in all educational projects and added that quality education directly affects the economic development that Kosova needs.
