In order of the right and correct clarification to the public opinion, after report of few Medias, regarding the use of maps in few schools of the Republic of Kosova, in which are not shown the exact boundaries of the Republic of Turkey, we feel necessary to explain that MEST has not authorized their distribution in schools.
Maps are working tools, which can be obtained from the school or the relevant municipality. Our position is that all such maps should be immediately removed from use in all schools that possess them.
Ministry of Education, Science and Technology expresses regrets for concerns and dissatisfactions on this issue. MEST requires from competent municipal bodies to undertake necessary legal actions regarding to this, while has authorized the Education Inspectorate to supervise and report on each case.
