The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arsim Ademi participated in marking the Students’ Day, organized by the Student Parliament in cooperation with the University of Pristina “Hasan Prishtina”, which according to the new Statute is on October 1. Deputy Minister Ademi on this occasion emphasized the historical importance of this day, remembering the protest of October 1, 1997. He said that raising the level of education is a priority for the Government and the Ministry of Education, as according to him, students are an important part of this process and will always have the support of the Ministry.
Deputy Minister Ademi emphasized the important progress in the education sector, especially in higher education. He mentioned the drafting of the Education Strategy 2022-2026, which aims to develop the education sector in the next five years and includes five main objectives that address key issues in priority areas.
Among other things, Deputy Minister Ademi mentioned the cooperation agreement with Albania in the field of education, which aims to strengthen ties and improve the quality of education in both countries.
The vice-rector for Scientific Research, Projects and Innovations, Avni Hajdari, spoke about the importance of innovation and creativity in facing the rapid changes of our time. He has encouraged students to lead these changes and use all opportunities to raise the level of education.
Meanwhile, the president of the Student Parliament, Blerta Zeqiraj, emphasized the historical importance of the University of Prishtina during the Serbian occupation. She mentioned that the University became a center of civil resistance and that October 1 is a symbol of resistance and the struggle for student rights.
