The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, the Mayor of Shtime, Qemal Aliu, the Director of Education in the Shtime Municipality, Yllka Fejzullahu, and the Director of the Nursery, Arbona Qorrolli, inaugurated the “Albiona Asllani” Nursery in the Muzeqinë of the Shtime Municipality.
During the inauguration ceremony of the new kindergarten, Minister Nagavci emphasized that we have worked hard to ensure the deserved conditions for children, pupils and students throughout Kosova. She said that early childhood education is undoubtedly a priority – and it is not by chance that it is the first objective in the new Education Strategy.
Minister Nagavci mentioned the achievements of MESTI such as the Law on Early Childhood Education, the new curriculum, which is being piloted, the 5-year Agreement with the World Bank and the European Commission for investments from IPA for EChE, the Guide for Healthy Nutrition in EChE, establishment of the Directors Collegium of Preschool Institutions, training of pre-primary educators in enriching activities according to contemporary methods, equipping over 100 classrooms with inventory and wooden toys, benefiting 6,865 children, as well as the construction, renovation and adaptation of nurseries.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Shtime, Qemal Aliu, emphasized that this modern nursery, which is being inaugurated today, is the first nursery to be opened in this area and from Monday, November 11, its doors will be opened to the children of Muzeqina, Vojnovet, Gjurkovci, Rashinca and Glavica.
The cost of adapting the nursery facility amounts to €63,881 and is an investment of the Ministry of Education.
