The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci participated in the opening of the International Scientific Conference on “National and international evaluations in pre-university education in Kosova, experiences and perspectives”, organized by the Pedagogical Institute of Kosova.
The purpose of this Conference is to analyze and discuss the experiences, current situation and challenges of pre-university education in Kosova.
Minister Nagavci emphasized a very important point about the role of pre-university education in the context of the necessary changes in the education system, adapting to the demands of the time and the labor market. The assessment, as she mentioned, is essential to evidence the level of knowledge acquired by the students.
Among other things, Minister Nagvci emphasized the commitment of the Government of Kosova and the Ministry of Education to pre-university education since taking office three years ago. She said that the multidimensional approach and focus on the priority pillars of the Education Strategy are essential to achieve organic and sustainable changes in the education system.
Minister Nagavci also underlined the importance of cooperation between educational and research institutions to share best practices and develop effective educational policies. She mentioned some of the Ministry’s recent initiatives to support teachers and improve school infrastructure.
For the importance of holding this Conference has also been spoken by Acting Director of the Pedagogical Institute of Kosovo, Ismet Potera, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Blerim Saqipi.
