The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, together with the Deputy Minister, Taulant Kelmendi and other members of the cabinet have participated in a discussion on improving performance and increasing accountability in education, which has a wide involvement of members who come from MAShTI, DKA, schools, experts, advisors and collaborators from the fields related to evaluation, monitoring and performance in education.
Minister Nagavci in her speech said that, the aim is that through various activities, such as the collection of information from the field, they will bring recommendations that will serve to supplement and change the legislation and the drafting of educational policies, which will lead in improving the results in the education system in Kosova, specifically the PISA test.
Minister Nagavci said that there are several actions that have been undertaken in recent years, starting with the completion of the legislation for early childhood, the finalization of the Curriculum, the improvement and expansion of the physical infrastructure for the inclusion of children in kindergartens, improving the quality of textbooks, the preparation and professional development of teachers and other important activities whose sole aim is to raise the quality.
Among other things, an important point of discussion in this meeting were the findings from various researches and reports of institutions that monitor the implementation of educational policies, proposals and ideas for addressing the main problems in terms of legislation, textbooks, student assessment and teacher performance measurement.
Therefore, in the following weeks and months, engagement will be intensified with the sole aim of improving educational results.
