The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci have laid the foundation stone of the kindergarten in the village of Godanc in Shtime.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Kurti, after emphasizing the importance of early childhood education, said that the laying of this foundation stone represents the commitment of the Government, MESTI and the Municipality to invest and take care of the children who are the present and future of the country.
After emphasizing the fact that so far 10.7 million euros have been invested for the kindergarten and another 5 million from the IPA Fund, he said that this kindergarten is the 31st among those we have built and renovated.
Meanwhile, Minister Nagavci emphasized that, in addition to laying the foundation stone in Godanc, at the beginning of next month the kindergarten in Myzeqina will also be finalized, while a nursery school in Petrovë is also planned..
The minister said that the foundation stones of 6 kindergarten will be laid in the coming weeks, while she emphasized that the government’s goal is to build kindergartens in rural areas to offer more opportunities for employment and other professional engagements for mothers.
Also, the minister encouraged the mayors of the municipalities to identify the locations and bring the necessary data to the Ministry, as she said that we are ready to invest in each of the municipalities that have completed the necessary documentation.
Meanwhile, the mayor of the Municipality of Shtime, Qemajl Aliu, emphasized the importance of this kindergarten that will start to be built for children, parents and the whole community.
The construction of the kindergarten in the Godanc village is an investment of the Ministry of Education and reaches value over 400 thousand euros. The kindergarten facility is expected to have an area of 756 square meters, 5 classes for children aged 9 months to 5 years and all the necessary follow-up parts.
