The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, met with a group of high school students from different municipalities of Kosova, on the International Day of Education, which this year is marked with the theme “Investment in people and prioritization of education”.
With the students, the minister talked about the situation in education, the work that has been done during the last two years, as well as the plans to change the situation and provide comprehensive and quality education for the new generations.
Regarding their education and that of their peers in Kosova, Minister Nagavci spoke about the dual education that has already started to be applied in several directions, the provision of free higher education, as well as the large number of scholarships that are distributed through the schemes of financial support for studies at home and abroad at different levels.
Speaking about the plans, Minister Nagavci mentioned the approval of the Strategic Education Plan 2022-2023 and said that, among other things, the revision of textbooks, further investment in infrastructure and digitalization of the education system are planned.
The minister spoke at length about the important role that students have in achieving the goals of safe schools and quality education, therefore she instructed them to address all concerns, give ideas, as well as be active as much as possible in the areas that interest you. In this direction, she assured the students that they will have her and the Ministry’s support.
