Minister Bajrami hosted the Ambassador of Great Britain in Kosova

Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Arsim Bajrami has hosted today the Ambassador of Great Britain in Kosova, Mr. Ruairi O’Connell, with whom has discussed on reforms that are being done at all education levels, but also for cooperation between two countries.

Minister Bajrami has thanked the ambassador for the great help that his country has given for Kosova, especially in the field of education. He further stressed that our country needs the help of Britain, especially now when they started reforms in pre-university education and in higher education.

Speaking for pre-university education, minister Bajrami stressed that remains priority the youth orientation toward vocational education, while stressed that in higher education is in public debate the new Law, which gives full autonomy to public universities, while regulates the private sector of higher education.

Minister Bajrami thanked Great Britain, respectively the British Council, which has helped Kosovo to prepare staff through the educational scholarships in British universities. He stressed the need for further support in this regard, especially in the preparation of personnel for technological and exact sciences.

The Ambassador O’Connel confirmed the support that Kosovar education will have from Great Britain and this support will be oriented in higher education, but also in pre-university education, with special emphasis in vocational education.
