Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Arsim Bajrami is hosted today from the Minister of Education and Sport of Albania, Mrs. Lindita Nikolla, where two Ministers have presented policies and cooperation programs between two countries, in the field of higher education, and scientific research.
Minister Bajrami and Nikolla during the meeting have assessed the diploma recognition process and the earned degrees in higher education institutions of the relevant countries.
“As result of our joint meetings, we have started with diploma recognition process of higher education institutions of the Republic of Albania. A much needed practice to enable the mobility of students. This process will be developed in based on three criteria, criteria of good faith, professional criteria and the NARIC network criteria”, said Minister Bajrami.
Speaking on the work of the commission for education in finalizing the Law on Regulated Occupations, Minister Bajrami emphasized that the establishment of standards regarding the test on regulated occupations will be done in full respect of the autonomy of universities.
“We will respect in full the autonomy of universities, but is considered completely legitimate for the Government to control the skills and competencies arising from universities before they are placed in the labour market”, stressed Minister Bajrami.
Among others, Minister Bajrami special emphasis has dedicated to the work of joint scientific research, so that students from universities in Albania and Kosova benefit as many European fund through research projects, by developing joint professional capacities on compilation of projects and achievements of successful results and their application in these funds.
