Kosovo is accepted as a member of the European Alliance for Apprenticeships / Dual Education – EAfA becoming the 43rd country to join this prestigious platform. This constitutes an extraordinary achievement for MASHTI, as the membership is directly linked to the commitment of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation to strengthen vocational education and bring it closer to the needs of the labor market.

Our goals include:

– Active involvement of the private sector;

– Expanding the provision of dual education in close cooperation with the private sector;

– Gradual integration of dual education into continuing VET to support adult rehabilitation;

– The establishment and functioning of Sectoral Skills Councils;

– Improving the governance of vocational schools.

Through this membership, Kosovo gains the opportunity to invite other organizations and institutions for membership, such as: IVET, sectoral chambers and associations, private sector representatives, social partners, to cooperate with other countries in strengthening quality practices, mobility of interns and building strategic partnerships with companies, youth organizations, chambers of commerce and educational institutions from all over Europe..

EAfA is an inclusive platform that promotes: quality and effective professional practices, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, engagement of local authorities and social partners, active participation of practitioners in decision-making.

Apprenticeships help young people transition more easily from education to employment, gaining practical skills in a real work environment.

Kosovo’s membership in EAfA opens up new opportunities for the development of vocational education and strengthens our position as a country that aims for quality, cooperation and approximation to European standards. After applying, as the Ministry of Education, we have worked and achieved the necessary standards required to be accepted into EAfA.
