For the first time, the international eTwinning Seminar is being held in Kosovo, organized by the National eTwinning Support Office, with the support of the Erasmus+ Office, the European Union Office in Kosovo and the Greek Liaison Office.

The opening ceremony was attended by the political advisor to the acting Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arrita Gola, who, on behalf of MESTI, emphasized the importance of this seminar for the further development of the education system in Kosovo.

“Education is not only the foundation of personal development, but also the engine of innovation, progress and peace. STEM education is at the heart of these efforts,” said Gola.

Teachers and experts from Greece, Montenegro, Turkey, Albania and other European countries are participating in this activity.

Kosovo became part of the eTwinning community in January 2024 and has since made significant progress: over 280 teachers from nearly 100 schools in 12 municipalities are engaged in international projects and digital collaborations.

Currently, preparations are also underway for the awarding of the first eTwinning School Labels and National Awards.

This year’s seminar focused on STEM, robotics and digital learning, reflecting MESTI’s priorities for the digitalization of education, the development of contemporary curricula, teacher training and ensuring equal access for all students.
