The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci and the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, as part of the activities marking the “16 days of activism against domestic violence” campaign” stayed in Gjakova, where they talked with students of the school “Yll Morina” in Gjakovë and students of the school “Hamëz Cena” in the village of Demjan.
On this occasion, Minister Nagavci stressed that violence of any kind is unacceptable and must be reported.
She said that the school is the best place to work on education and prevention of violence.
Minister Nagavci ordered the students to report the violence to their teachers and parents. Nagavci emphasized that we must all take care to respect everyone’s rights and prevent violence, especially against women and girls.
Among other things, Minister Nagavci also spoke about the ongoing actions taken by MESTI, including awareness campaigns for the prevention and elimination of gender-based violence.
Meanwhile, Minister Albulena Haxhiu said that reporting violence is everyone’s obligation, because only by cooperating will we be able to minimize violence and raise awareness in society.
During the day, Ministers Nagavci and Haxhiu also met with the staff of the Medika Gjakova organization, where they talked about gender-based violence and the cooperation for its prevention.
