The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, together with the US Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Havonier, participated in the closing ceremony of the renovation of the Lower Secondary Primary School “Zenel Hajdini”, in the village of Tërstenik, Drenas.
The renovation of this school was made with a donation from the United States Military Command (EUCOM), through the program for Humanitarian Assistance and the Office for Defense Cooperation, at the US Embassy in Prishtina.
Minister Arbërie Nagavci, on this occasion, emphasized that this school undoubtedly fully deserves this support, being one of the first schools in Drenas, a place that has given a lot to the freedom of Kosova.
The minister said that we have to translate this work and sacrifice into work and offer our children more opportunities, while she congratulated the students, teachers and the whole community for this school that already offers conditions for quality teaching and learning.
After emphasizing that this donation is in line with the work that the Ministry of Education is doing in the entire school system of the country, Minister Nagavci thanked the American Government for the contribution and continuous assistance it provides in the education sector in Kosova.
Minister Nagavci also emphasized that, as the Minister, we are committed to providing conditions for the quality education of children, having a special focus on school infrastructure, as an important part of the work towards improving the quality of education in our schools.
