The lesson begins for the fourth generation of level V qualification for Assistant for children / students with special educational needs

For the year 2022/2023, the financial means have been allocated for the engagement of 100 assistants for children with special educational needs, while it is planned that during four years to be engaged by 100 assistants every year.

This was announced by the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci before the fourth generation candidates, who today have started lessons in the qualification program of level V for Assistant for children / students with special educational needs.

Speaking about the commitment of MEST for inclusive and quality education, but also the development of policies for the reform of education and vocational training, the Minister also emphasized the support of the Ministry in this initiative.

She wished that the candidates who will attend the V level of qualification for one year, achieve the necessary competencies, in order to achieve the goal of improving the quality of life for children / students with special educational needs.

Meanwhile, Fikrije Zymberi, Acting Director of AVETAE, among other things, emphasized the excellent cooperation with the international organization Pearson, which provides external quality assurance for this qualification.

Level V qualification is being implemented for the first time in public institutions in Kosova. This qualification is offered in institutions that offer vocational education and training in Prishtina, Peja, Prizren and Ferizaj, while so far a total of 188 candidates have graduated.

For this generation, 54 candidates have been accepted divided into two groups, which have started teaching today at the Competence Center “Shtjefën Gjeçovi” in Prishtina, as well as at the Resource Center “Përparimi” in Prishtina.
