The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Taulant Kelmendi, participated in the first meeting with the members of the Interministerial Coordinating Group, in order to coordinate, implement, monitor and evaluate policies and measures to prevent and address all forms of the gender based violence.
In this meeting, the work plan for 2024 and the actions taken to achieve the strategic objectives of the action plan for 2023 were discussed, with emphasis on the drafting of the First National Program for Perpetrators of Violence Against Women, creation of new modules for the provision of statistics on violence perpetrators and their publication, as well as supplementing and amending the Criminal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure, criminalizing new criminal offenses.
Deputy Minister Kelmendi on this occasion expressed the commitment of the Ministry of Education in fulfilling the objectives that belong to this department and the full harmonization of actions with relevant ministries.
