The acting Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, participated in the closing ceremony of the project “Action against discrimination for all”, where she emphasized the importance of continuing efforts for a more inclusive and just education system.

Nagavci noted that MESTI has taken concrete steps to advance inclusion and equality, through the implementation of inclusive programs, improving access for children with disabilities and promoting gender equality, with a special emphasis on empowering girls in STEM fields. She emphasized that education plays a key role in shaping generations that build a more just, tolerant and inclusive society.

The Minister also called for close cooperation between the government, educational institutions, civil society organizations and international partners, with the aim of creating an education system where every student has equal opportunities to develop his or her potential.

Finally, Nagavci underlined the importance of strengthening the capacities of teachers to identify and address cases of discrimination, bullying and hate speech, as well as to integrate values ​​that promote tolerance and inclusion.

Meanwhile, Nicola Scaramuzzo from the European Union Office in Kosovo, praised the commitment of the partners in the project “Action against Discrimination for All”, highlighting the main results such as strengthening the capacities of schools, empowering young people and raising awareness against discrimination. He stressed that the implementation of the law is as important as the legislation itself and that, even though the project is coming to an end, the work and commitment to an inclusive environment must continue.
