The acting Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, participated at the Annual Erasmus+ Conference on the Publication of Results, which was accompanied by the Ceremony of Awarding the National Quality Label (NQL) and National Awards for Twinning Projects.
The Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci, presented Kosovo’s exceptional results in the Erasmus+ 2025 call, where 19 projects in higher education and 8 in vocational education were awarded, involving a total of 28 beneficiary institutions. She emphasized that for the first time, five projects are coordinated by local institutions, while almost all higher education institutions are equipped with the European Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). International mobility has also increased significantly, with over 2,000 participants and 15 Erasmus Mundus scholarships over the past year.
She also highlighted the progress in pre-university education through the eTwinning and EPALE platforms, where teacher participation has doubled and 15 European projects have been implemented, some of which have been awarded National Awards and European Quality Labels. Minister Nagavci stressed that these results reflect the commitment of MESTI and the EU’s support in modernizing the education system and creating more opportunities for students and academic staff.
Meanwhile, Robert Perr from the European Union Office in Kosovo highlighted the success of Erasmus Plus as a program that brings Europe closer to young people, offering academic, cultural and sports exchange opportunities. He underlined the importance of competition to take advantage of these opportunities and the role of inter-institutional cooperation in improving education and youth development, especially in the Western Balkans.
During the ceremony, the NQL Award and National Awards were awarded to schools and teachers who have distinguished themselves with successful twinning projects, being appreciated for their commitment, creativity and innovation within the eTwinning platform.
