PRESS RELEASE

The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI), respectively the Education Inspectorate, has been in constant contact with the municipal education directorates in the municipalities of Kosovo today regarding the progress of the teaching process due to the difficult weather conditions.

From the information collected by the regional sectors of the Education Inspectorate, it results that in all schools in Kosovo, teaching has been conducted normally, even in schools that work in two shifts, with the exception of schools in the municipality of Pristina.

The Municipal Education Directorate in Pristina, meanwhile, has announced the suspension of the teaching process for today in all schools, due to the deteriorated weather conditions and difficulties in communication.

The Education Inspectorate, based on its legal powers, will monitor and ensure that all hours lost in today’s teaching process are replaced, in accordance with the legislation in force, namely Administrative Instruction (MESTI) No. 01/2025 for the 2025/2026 School Year Calendar.

MESTI will continue to be in communication with municipalities and educational institutions to guarantee the continuity of the educational process, prioritizing the safety of students.
