Minister Nagavci visits the University of Gjakova and Prizren, meets with students benefiting from elite and STEM scholarships

The acting Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, visited today the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova and the “Ukshin Hoti” University in Prizren, where she met with students benefiting from elite and STEM scholarships.

During the meeting with the students in Gjakova, Minister Nagavci emphasized that the scholarships represent an important opportunity to evaluate the achievements, ambitions and dreams of the new generation, encouraging them to continue investing in knowledge and professional development.

The Rector of the University of Gjakova, Drilon Bunjaku, thanked the Minister for her continued support for the institution and the students.

This year alone, 126 students from this university are beneficiaries of elite scholarships, of which 117 are girls and 9 are boys – a clear testament to their talent, work and dedication.

Meanwhile, at the University of Prizren, Minister Nagavci was received by Rector Mentor Alishani, who praised the excellent cooperation with MASHTI and emphasized that the students’ results are an indicator of the good work being done at the university.

Minister Nagavci, in her speech, expressed gratitude for the work of the university and the dedication of the academic staff, emphasizing that Prizren is witnessing a steady increase in the quality and performance of students.

From the University of Prizren, during this academic year, 150 students are beneficiaries of elite scholarships, while 50 others have benefited from STEM scholarships, reflecting the increase in interest and high performance in scientific and technological programs.

MESTI continues to support excellent students and young talents through various scholarship schemes, with the aim of stimulating quality in education, academic advancement and creating equal opportunities in all public universities in the country.
