The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, in collaboration with UNICEF, has started the process of training trainers for the new Curriculum for Early Childhood Education for children from zero to six years old in Kosovo.
This process marks the end of a two-year chapter, with work and dedication from many stakeholders for the development and piloting of the Curriculum, crowned with its approval.
At the same time, this is the beginning of a new and long chapter for the expansion of the implementation of the Curriculum, so that children in early education at the national level develop and learn in an environment that supports play and continuous exploration, as well as an educational approach that is based on the needs and interests of children, but that also recognizes the role and active participation of parents in their education.
The training, which will last five days, will be followed by the assessment and selection of Curriculum trainers, enabling the start of capacity building of educators at the Kosovo level for its qualitative implementation, and ensuring the right of every child to quality education and the achievement of his or her developmental potential.
This work was made possible with the financial support of the Embassy of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg in Prishtina and in collaboration with the Center for Human Services and Development.
