With the aim of advancing the quality of education and strengthening the professional basis in the development of curricula and school textbooks, the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation has established the Council of Experts for Curricula and School Textbooks (KEPTSH).
This council is composed of experts in the field of education, who will contribute to the analysis and evaluation of subject curricula, the professional review of school textbooks and teaching materials, and the provision of recommendations in accordance with the Kosovo Curriculum Framework and contemporary educational standards.
Composition of the Council: Anita Kadriu – Chair; Fatos Osmani – Member; Zana Zeqiri – Member; Nazan Safqi – Member; Merita Gashi – Member; Driana Sogojeva – Member; Arbnor Pozhegu – Member; Agim Bujari – Member; Laura Lipoveci – Member; Flamur Maloku – Member; Linda Ukimeraj Harris – Member; and Leunorë Krasniqi – Council Secretary.
The Acting Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, received the new members of KEPTSH in a meeting.
During this meeting, the key points of the activities and tasks foreseen in the Council’s dynamic plan were discussed, with special focus on: the process of reviewing subject curricula; the review and improvement of school textbooks and teaching materials; the examination of pedagogical documentation; the review of the school reading list and its enrichment with new titles; the drafting and selection of textbooks for non-majority communities; the preparation of the School Textbook Catalogue; as well as other matters of importance for the education system.
The formation and operationalization of this council constitute an important step toward ensuring quality, professional coherence, and the modernization of instructional content in pre‑university education in the Republic of Kosovo.
