It is with deep sorrow that we received the news of the passing of Academician Nexhat Daci, former President of the Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts and former President of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.

Academician Nexhat Daci was a distinguished professor at the University of Pristina and a full member of the Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts. He made significant contributions both in the academic and scientific fields and in the institutional life of the country, serving as a member of the Assembly of Kosovo, President of the Assembly and President of ASAK for two terms.

His death is a great loss not only for the Daci family, but also for the academic world, state institutions and Kosovar society as a whole. Academician Daci will be remembered for his invaluable contribution, wisdom, integrity and continuous dedication to the service of knowledge and the state.
