“MESTI is committed to implementing the Istanbul Convention through the education system, by drafting guidance documents that strengthen the role of schools in preventing, reporting and raising awareness against violence,” the minister emphasized.
On this occasion, the “Guide for teachers and education professionals on the role of schools in preventing and identifying violence against women and domestic violence” was also inaugurated, drafted by MESTI, a practical document that supports teachers and professional staff in the early identification of cases and providing the appropriate institutional response.
