Acting Minister Nagavci concludes “16 Days of Activism” with high school students

Acting Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, participated in the closing activity with high school students, as part of the global campaign “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence”.

Nagavci emphasized that school is not only a place of knowledge, but also a space where values ​​are formed, where respect and responsibility are taught. “Education is the most powerful tool to prevent violence and to build a culture of equality and human dignity,” she said, adding that violence is not only physical, but can also be psychological, verbal, emotional or digital.

The Minister called on young people to be the strongest voice of the future and not to remain silent in the face of injustice. She reiterated MESTI’s commitment to creating educational policies and environments where every girl and boy feels respected and protected, emphasizing that the campaign against violence must become a daily action: a society without violence begins with every student.

Meanwhile, the First Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Albulena Haxhiu, emphasized that violence against women and girls is unacceptable in any form and called for victims not to remain silent, while institutions to act responsibly and without prejudice.

The activity, held in the premises of the Assembly, aimed to raise young people’s awareness of the importance of gender equality, respecting human rights and combating all forms of violence in society. The students presented their opinions, initiatives and proposals for preventive and awareness-raising measures, demonstrating their willingness to be a strong voice against violence.
