A new school worth €5.2 million inaugurated in Prizren

In Prizren, the elementary and lower secondary school “Nazim Kokollari-Budakova” was inaugurated, a project financed by the European Union with an investment value of €5.2 million.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education and Science, Hajrulla Çeku, the Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Ambassador Aivo Orav, former Minister of Education and Science and current Member of Parliament Arbërie Nagavci, the Mayor of Prizren, Shaqir Totaj, as well as representatives of local institutions, teachers, parents, and students.

On this occasion, Minister Çeku thanked all partners for their cooperation and support in the realization of the project, emphasizing the importance of investments in educational infrastructure and the improvement of conditions for the teaching and learning process.

He underlined the need for continuous cooperation between the central and local levels, with the aim of further advancing conditions in education.

EU Ambassador Aivo Orav stressed that support for the education sector remains part of the EU’s commitment in Kosovo, mentioning investments made over the years in various fields, including education.

Meanwhile, the school’s principal, Belkize Hoxha, expressed gratitude to the institutions and partners who contributed to the construction of the new facility, which provides suitable and modern conditions for students and teaching staff.

This investment, made possible by the European Union, represents valuable support for the development of education and the improvement of teaching and learning conditions. With the inauguration of this project, students and teachers now have at their disposal more functional spaces, contemporary environments, and safer conditions for work and study.
