MINISTRY OF EDUCATION PRESENTS CHILD PROTECTION POLICIES, ACTIONS AND DOCUMENTS

The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of the Republic of Kosova, respectively the National Forum for Friendly Schools, in coordination with the organizations Syri i Vizionit and Save the Children, organized the Conference on child protection policies: Promotion of policies, actions and documents of developed with interest for children in pre-university education institutions.

On this occasion, the Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci said that the protection of children is an indisputable priority, which is achieved by working on several fronts at once, with policies and actions.

Minister Nagavci has thanked each contributor, whether in the drafting of documents, policies that have been approved, internal regulations and in their commitment to have friendly and safe schools.

Minister Nagavci said that the approved documents and policies are a primary obligation, to then enable actions by schools or other communities that work with children.

Speaking about the achievements noted in terms of actions and policies for child protection, Minister Nagavci said, the Ministry of Education is working hard to provide better educational conditions and services, starting from early childhood, as investment in young age groups increases the premises for children’s development at other levels.

Among other things, Minister Nagavci said that MESTI has worked on completing the legal infrastructure and strategic documents to increase the quality in education, while also talking about the finalization of the regulation for the recruitment of new staff, in order to avoid problems in cases of the lack of teachers and the filling of jobs in educational institutions.

In addition to the policies and actions for the protection of the child, Minister Nagavci said that she is also committed to strengthening the mechanisms that increase the commitment within our schools, to react effectively to any problem that our children face.
