The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, participated in the seminar “All together for the realization of Albanian identity between language and culture”, which was organized by the League of Albanian Schools in Italy.
Minister Nagavci said on this occasion that the Ministry of Education has taken important steps to consolidate the position of the Albanian Diaspora, with a special focus on education and upbringing.
“The mother tongue is one of the most prominent features of the common origin and collective culture of a people. Let us protect the Albanian language in every form, a little bit every day, and more every year,” said Minister Nagavci.
Minister Nagavci recalled that, within the framework of the actions that have been undertaken and which aim to preserve the Albanian language and culture, they are: drafting language textbooks for teaching Albanian in the Diaspora, creating platforms for cooperation between Albanian researchers everywhere, signing cooperation agreements between Kosovo and Albania, drafting and putting into use Level I and II texts for the Diaspora, as well as preparing the Level III text.
At the seminar held in Italy, participants were: teachers, representatives of associations, businesses and institutions, who shared their experiences and discussed plans for the future, for the preservation of our Albanian language, culture and national identity.
