The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, participated in the opening of the two-day Conference “Empowering Teachers with Competency-Based and Project-Based Learning Strategies”, organized by the Peace Corps, in cooperation with the municipalities of Prizren and Suhareka.

The goal of this conference is quality education through local capacity building and empowering teachers with the skills necessary for the successful implementation of competency-based teaching and project-based learning methodologies.

Minister Nagavci said on this occasion that the Peace Corps program makes a significant contribution to improving English language teaching in Kosova.

Peace Corps volunteers work as English language teachers in public schools throughout Kosovo, where they work with Kosova teachers in primary and secondary schools to facilitate extracurricular activities such as clubs and camps.

The role of volunteers and the Peace Corps program is directly aligned with educational policies, as it provides support to our teachers during classroom instruction, while also enhancing the sharing of best practices from the American education system.
