The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, participated in the International Scientific Conference “Challenges and prospects of economic cooperation Kosovo-Albania and the region”, organized by the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosova and the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Albania.
On this occasion, Minister Nagavci welcomed the beginning of the proceedings of this conference and emphasized that the presence of outstanding personalities from the fields of academia, economy, finance, tourism, European integration, etc. from Kosova, the region and the world is an indicator of the great work done in the Republic of Kosova to promote economic development in optimal ways.
The minister said that since we share a common language, geography and history, Kosova and Albania are naturally two economies with similar challenges, and not very different perspectives. “And when the challenges are similar, the best way to face them is by working together”, she emphasized.
Speaking about the cooperation between the two countries, Minister Nagavci mentioned the consolidation and continuous strengthening of cooperation with Albania as an inseparable part of the work.
“The education system is one of the main pillars of a country’s economic development. Here, as much as we learn from the good practices of the most developed countries, we also help each other in different ways”, said the minister, while emphasizing that in this context, the Ministry of Education has undertaken a series of joint initiatives and agreements with the Ministry of Education of Albania.
Among other things, Minister Nagavci also mentioned the bilateral agreement for the support of joint scientific projects, with a common vision for academic advancement.
He also mentioned many concrete actions in the field of education, in order to fulfill the demands of the labor market and to strengthen the country’s economy.
Among other things, Minister Nagavci emphasized that such conferences are excellent platforms, not only for sharing experiences and networking, but also for reflection and identification of creative and useful ways for new cooperations.
