Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Shyqiri Bytyqi hosted today in a meeting the Chief of UNICEF Office in Kosova, Brandao Co, with whom discussed for cooperation of the Ministry of Education with this organization on important issues such as: childhood early development, inclusion and prevention of school drop-outs.
Minister Bytyqi, after highly appreciating the support that UNICEF has provided through various projects in the Kosova post-war education sector, has expressed the commitment of the Ministry of Education in further cooperation regarding the implementation of the projects deriving from the Kosova Education Strategic Plan 2017-2021.
Minister Bytyqi said that investment in the development of early childhood is a very important factor in the physical, mental, spiritual and social development of children, while adding that MEST remains committed to the inclusion and prevention of the school abandonment.
Meanwhile, Chief of the UNICEF Office, Brandao Co, said that UNICEF will continue to strongly support the work of the Ministry of Education in this regard and other important issues, which are mainly related to primary and secondary education.
