Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Shyqiri Bytyqi and Turkish Ambassador Kivilcim Kiliç inaugurated the renovated premises for providing therapeutic services for children with Down syndrome at the Down Syndrome Kosova center in Prishtina. Renovation of these premises was facilitated by the Presidency of the Turkish Council in Kosova.
Minister Bytyqi and Ambassador Kilic once again expressed the commitment of the two countries in realizing important infrastructure projects and creating the most suitable conditions for a proper education in Kosova, especially for children with special needs.
Minister Bytyqi, after thanking the Turkish Government for the investments he is making in arranging the necessary areas for education, emphasized that the education of children with special needs is not just a responsibility but also a mission.
“As a Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, we are really making the utmost effort to have a preparation and involvement of all children indiscriminately. Apart from the responsibility we have to create conditions for children with special needs, we have a mission to be engaged at all the time, in order to make for these children the necessary conditions”, said Minister Bytyqi.
Minister Bytyqi also said that MEST will support the Association, and will support these children in creating appropriate facilities for the development of learning activities.
The ceremony was also attended by the executive director of Down Syndrome, Sebahate Beqiri and representatives of the Turkish Council in Kosova.
